Class + Studio: SLT Tread – Abs & Arms @ SLT Tread

Length: 50 mins.
Description: This class is a combo of 25 mins on the treadmill and 25 mins on the megaformer. The treadmill portion is HIIT style (several intervals, with breaks in between & increasing intensity – speeds are given as a guide, but ultimately up to you). The megaformer portion is a full body burnout (although ours was focused on arms and abs) – your typical SLT-style workout where a full set of moves is completed and then repeated on the other side.
Sweat Level: 7/10 – Since we tried class in the dead of winter, we were freezing upon entering – so it took us a while longer than we’d imagined to heat up. However, we could see this one getting quite sweaty!
Tone Level: 8.5/10 – This is a serious tone. While it’s 50% cardio, the tone of the megaformer is amplified by the treadmill burnout.
Cult Level: 5/10 – While this studio is brand new, the cult following is definitely brewing. We expect it to be full blown in the next few months.
Sneakers/Props: Sneakers and grip socks. You’ll switch footwear half way through.
Shower/Locker Situation: 3 showers, changing rooms, digi locks + products.
Vibe: Friendly and to the point! People here mean business, but all the staff are really nice.

Extras: Not on ClassPass (yet!) – First time deal: 2 for $40, 3 for $99. When you book class, you’ll choose the machine you want to start on (we recommend the tread).
Go Back? Yes – we liked it a lot for a HIIT class.
