Class + Studio: Good Athlete @ Good Day Pilates
Location: SoHo (NYC), SixtySoho (NYC) for outdoor classes.
Length: 45 mins.
Description: A strength-based Pilates class focused on creating stability and mobility to enhance athletic performance. More pros are used, such as the kettle bell, and it’s a bit more challenging than their slower paced ‘Good Flow’ class.
Sweat Level: 4/10 – This honestly depends on the sun if you’re outdoors – we heated up!
Intensity: 5/10 – Not super difficult, but more intense than their other classes.
Tone Level: 8/10 – Given that it’s strength based, you’ll definitely get a solid tone – full body, with a definite focus on core.
Cult Level: 3/10 – Non-culty, despite their off-ClassPass status.
Sneakers/Props: Socks are required. For outdoor classes, masks are required the entire time. Bring water and wear sunscreen! They do have sunscreen in case you forget.
Shower/Locker Situation: Studio: changing rooms and cubbies, no showers. Outdoor location: just a bathroom.
Vibe: Such cozy, zen vibes. The studio is very clean, has new equipment with many personal touches to make it homey and cute. The actual classroom is facing Spring Street with lots of natural light, which makes the overall experience even better. The outdoor vibe is even more amazing: reformers on the rooftop with incredible city views. You’re going to want to experience these views before it’s too late.

Extras: Not on ClassPass. All classes are designed by a physical therapist, which we love! They also offer higher intensity classes, privates & semi-privates. First time deal: 3 classes for $60. Classes are kept small (max. 8 reformers). Outdoor workouts are currently on the rooftop of the Sixty Soho. They take temperatures at the door. Sign up in advance – classes fill up quick.
Go Back? For sure, we loved it!
