Class + Studio: Standard Session @ NOVA Fitness
Location: NYC (Tribeca)
Length: 30 mins.
Description: These sessions use EMS (electrical muscle stimulation) that pulse/contract your body through a special suit. Your muscles will be hyperactivated as you go through a series of exercises – you’ll feel contractions intensifying during your workout.
Sweat Level: 6/10 – You actually need to work up a good sweat in order to activate the suit, if you’re not sweaty enough after warm up they can spray your suit down.
Tone Level: 8/10 – We felt this immensely the following day. It’s supposed to be as effective as a 90 min workout.
Cult Level: 2/10 – No cultiness at all.
Sneakers/Props: Sneakers & you’ll be given a suit upon arrival.
Shower/Locker Situation: Lots of amenities: showers, change rooms, vanity mirrors, and towel service.
Vibe: Welcoming and friendly, but a very technical place and workout. It’s about efficiency here, not about vibes and frills!
Extras: Not on CP! Don’t go if you have a pacemaker. They offer Meal Prep Services provided by Kettlebell Kitchen.
