Length: 60 mins (though they also offer a 45 min Barre Express).
Description: A very traditional-style barre class. Start with a quick warmup and a short burst of abs, followed with arm exercises (using light weights). Class then moves onto thighs + glutes at the barre, finishing with a 20 minute ab series and a final stretch. The exercises are made up of almost all small, isometric moves at high reps. Several sets of push ups throughout, too!
Sweat Level: 3/10 – Low sweat factor here for the amount of tone, which is great if it’s not a hair washing day for you!
Tone Level: 7/10 – The more you familiarize yourself with this workout, the better your form & tone level will be. It can be difficult to ‘feel’ at first if you’re new, but when you stick with this it becomes quite a toner!
Cult Level: 8.5/10 – This is a culty spot. There are TONS of unlimited membership and Bar Method only peeps. The instructors learn everyone’s name, which is nice! We went at 10am on a Tuesday and it was packed.
Sneakers/Props: Grip socks and a shirt covering your midriff (Important! They are strict on this).
Shower/Locker Situation: Great locker room situation. 2 showers in there (plus an additional private one outside), products, blow dryers and digi locks.
Vibe: Very friendly and welcoming vibe. We liked this location the best!
Extras: On ClassPass. If you have to leave early, make sure to do so during the back dancing (right before the stretch). They offer a lot of hands on adjustments and will call your name throughout class to correct your form. Lots of first time specials available, too!
